Drakes on their own
« on: April 06, 2011, 18:40 »
Hi all,
Can any of you duck lovers tell me if drakes were kept, say 3 or 4, without any ducks around, would they get on, and would they be better from the same hatch?

Thanks in advance folks
3 dogs now, 2 passed RIP Poppy and Paige, one wonderful husband and a new adventure on this wonderful island

Thanks for that Tomshooter,   pond is large enough 12 ft long and approx 10ft at widest point.  After quarantine would they be safe to free range with our hens (7) and silly question maybe but would they try to tread the hens, we don't want dickens!! :D

I used to have 2 little cockerels that lived totally free range with the ducks down at our lake and they used to hump the ducks.    :D
My terrier given the chance humps the ducks and the cats, and my tortoises hump each other. Doesn't matter if its boy girl, girl girl or boy boy.
I wouldn't worry too much about it ::)
