there have been lots of reported frog 'sightings' this year ::), so there should be plenty of spawn about  ;)

You can have some of mine if you don't mind travelling  (Bring a large bucket!)

Mine have hatched but they stay out of sight on the bottom for a couple of weeks . Try again (small child and a net) when they get more active.

The frogs were very active a fortnight ago and we've lots of frogspawn but too early  for tadpoles.

when did you create your pond? mine is just over a year old and i didn't have frog spawn  the first year. i have let everything occur naturally ie filled with rainwater, no buckets of existing pond water, no plants etc. i looked at the Pond Conservation website and they're keen for pond to be allowed to form naturally.

if you get frog spawn from elsewhere the tadpoles may not survive in your pond.

Does anyone else on your site have a pond? If not then a trip to your nearest park to plop them in a pond.

But ducks don't carry the type of fungal infections that infest frogs... Do they?

They swim about amongst and eat spawn, taddies and frogs ,without brushing their teeth afterwards. :)
They can transfer fish eggs miles to populate previously fishless waters so a few fungal spores should be easily achieved.
On a similar theme i keep clearing the duckweed from my ponds but frogs wearing some soon bring it back. :)
