I think it is too much and personally would not give even one handful a day. A few treats are ok but should not be their main food. They are like children they will eat things that are not good for them before eating their layers. It is important not to 'unbalance' their diet this could affect their egg laying!  Good luck. :)

I would agree with Sassy here.  It is ok to give a small amount of treats perhaps an hour before shutting up so that they have all day to eat their layers pellets.

It can be either but in the can is cheaper than on the cob.  I buy Mixed Corn and throw thwm some of that in their coops to get them into bed...the cheeky * form a line waiting for me on an evening

mash?

You can get either layers pellets or layers mash.  The mash is just in a powder form of the pellets  ;)

If you're buying the tinned stuff, check out the nutritional breakdown.  Make sure you minimise added salt and sugar.

best if you thoroughly rinse the tinned stuff.
Staffies are softer than you think.

On the cob just give it raw, they love pecking it off! If I give cobs I usually break them up a bit so they each run off with their own treasure  ;)
I think it's already cooked when it's in the can - no need to heat it up but don't forget to leave them with a tin opener, keeps 'em amused for hours!

no frozen (thawed of course  ::)) is fine as it is - thats what mine have (cheap value brand) until fresh cobs are cheap enough. I did try growing some but they helped themselves to it before it was ready along with my caulis, cabbages, tomatoes, courgettes ...........
