help please

im new to the allotment stuff and i would liek some help can anyone tell me if its ok to plant letteces and beetroot in the same high bed on my allotment or not

I don't see why not. You should be able to get two crops-worth from both as well. Only thing is the feeding - lettuces like nitrogen-rich stuff and beetroot are a root crop so will prefer phosphate - I would use blood, fish and bonemeal aka BFB.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

also makes good use of the space, especially if you grow the 'cut and come again' types as they will grow low in between the leaves of the beetroot
3 dogs, 8 chickens, 4 rabbits 2 guinea pigs, 10 quail, 2 fish and a demanding daughter who has gone to uni and left me with 29 animals to care for!!=)
