Can anyone help please? I live in the country, we have foxes. but my silly Gals are trying to dig out of their coop! i could see from the house that they'd been in the same area in their run for some time so i went to see what was so interesting. they had dug a huge hole about a foot lower than the bottom of the run! i had aready nailed extra boards round the outside at ground level to discourage the foxes but i did  not expect an escape from within! how can i proof it without spoiling their fun? i let them out in the garden when i'm there (everyday) so they can't be bored. it's not just foxes we have wild cats and domestic ones as our garden is very quiet. i have filled the hole in but they still seem to want to dig just there! help!!!

Best thing to do is to bury some weldmesh vertically around the side of the run say about twelve to eighteen inch deep. When and if a fox try's to dig its way in it will come up against the weldmesh. If you move your coop and run around then an alternative is to lay some weldmesh around the run about a couple of feet wide and peg it down.
