noisey kockerel

is there any way of shutting my kockerel up he starts crowing at least 4am in his dark house i was told they start when it gets light! then around 6 then thats when hes a pain every 15 to 20 seconds and does let up for hours need help before neighbours brick my windows thanks

sorry but he is doing what cockerels do and some do it very well  :).
have you tried popping him into a cat box overnight and then into the dark shed? This may stop him being able to stretch his neck, however let him out early.
If you have close neighbours then I am surprised they haven't complained already - perhaps they can't hear him or aren't bothered. Have you asked them?

one sides family and others got 4 young noisey girls so direct neighbours are not the problem ! so the my cockerel needs to be in smaller box how long do you recomend this for or would it be better to lift the roosting bar higher to the roof ?

every night you would need to do this, just lifting him to a higher roost as he could jump down and start crowing again  ::).
Do you really need to keep a cockerel?
