Cucumbers question
« on: March 12, 2011, 17:58 »
I have bought some Miniature White Cucumber seeds from realseeds.co.uk. Can you give me an idea about how much do they produce? I've never grown any cucumber, and I'm trying to work out how many plants to grow for two people.

Throw them away and get some proper seeds !

I tried them last year, they gave about 10 cukes a plant, they had wicked spines on them. If you picked them small by the time you'd peeled them there was nothing left. I let a few get to a decent size and they were as bitter as a bitter thing in a bitter place   :tongue2:

Your results might be better but I won't be growing them again, they also repeated on me badly, which was the first time any cuke has. Come to think of it all the pants I've had from seeds bought from realseeds.co.uk have been poor.  :(

I can recommend Marks & Spencer. You can buy them ready grown.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

That's bad news... The seeds I got from realseeds last year were all very good, so I'll still give it a shot but I'll grow just a couple of plants so if they don't work I won't have wasted much space or time.
