moving onions???

moving onions???

Hi is it okay to move some onions I planted last winter to a new bed? It was 1st year growing veg last year and i have realised i plant onions in same bed and not in the next bed(crop rotation) any advice would be good

I believe quite a few people grow onions in the same bed year after year, having prepared the soil and added manures etc at the appropriate times.

If the onions you grew weren't diseased last year I'd leave the ones you've overwintered where they are now. Moving them now will propably slow them right down.
