Radish
« on: February 09, 2011, 20:23 »
Normally I put 96 (yes I've counted them) in a cat litter tray spaced at 1inch.

Im sitting here looking at a 1/2 tray with 20 modules in about 1 inch square and 2 inches deep, does the collective think theres enough room to grow a radish to full size in a cell?

Should be - they hardly put out a lot of root.

I miscalculated this year - I didn't use a ruler and got 108 in.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Think I might give them a go then, I never manage to eat a full tray before they get woody.

I miscalculated this year - I didn't use a ruler and got 108 in.

I made a template from chicken wire  ::) but don't tell anyone.  :D

I also think that it would work - slightly off topic but I have actually grown lettuces to full size in large modules. I had run out of space at the time and just kept the lettuce in the cells but it really worked well.

That's great thinking Springlands! :D Lettuces do only have a small "footprint". :)
