Am I allowed a little boast :?:

Well, the credit actually goes to this forum and the advice given me over the past year :D

OK, it was Munty's Hockey Stick frame I think was the main reason why My wife and I won the Best Runner Beans class in our site open day.

Really chuffed we are as first year plotters.  :D  :D

Oh well done Jim, congratulations  :D

Our runners have done well, think it might be the amount of muck that was put in the trench that had something to do with it.  I don't think their show winners though...

you must be well chuffed.

I managed to get into your photobucket and have a look round. It seems there are Munty Frames springing up all over the country, perhaps he ought to patent a kit before some sharp marketing bods do.

Hubby doesn't know it yet, but he'll be building mine next spring.

I hope Munty's brimming with pride.  It seems obvious after you've seen it compared to the wigwams and the crossed over sticks.

I will be making one of muntys frame next year, ive allready upset some of the oldtimers on my site by being the 1st to have runners this year in june :D (seems they have a unofficial comp between themselves for the 1st crop)
started mine in pots on our front wndow sill and they were in the ground 1st week in april.
being a 1st timer and total novice i was a bit concerend by the comments such as "to early BOY" (im 37)  "the frost is gonna get em", "never untill the 1st may" etc etc

All the frames on our site are either wigwams or tents cant wait to try muntys idea next year.
wonder what the comments will be then... :D

It seems there will be quite a few in South Wales next year, I'm quite often on the roads between the M4 and the Heads of the Valleys, so will be keeping my eyes peeled.

Remember those old I-Spy books you used to get to tick things off on your journey?

I reckon I've done better by being a beginner and ignorant, than some of the old-timers! They've lost potatoes and runners and onions to all sorts of problems. I've just happily planted and grown and seem to be getting excellent crops!!
OR is it that I religiously read the topics on here and follow the advice given by all you lot??

Lovely beans Jim

I fixed the picture for you.  I think you were trying to post the web page rather than the individual picture.  If you click on the edit button on your posting you'll be able to see the IMG tag which displays just the picture.

Mant thanks for your help, Aunt Sally, but I still don't know what I did wrong and how to do it right next time. I took photos today of the whole frame with sweet peas behind to protect the beans from the howling gales we had when the beans were young.
If you can lead me by the hand with  Photobucket, I will post these photos here as well, Jim.
