Those egg skelters look wonderful!  But as far as I know we can't get anything like that in New Zealand.  :(

Here's a wooden gadget called an "egg run" that I'm sure you could make yourself if you were a bit handy.

You can either keep it out on your kitchen bench or in the fridge.

I made an egg run/slope they take less space than a skelter, easy to make by putting a shallow wedge shaped piece of plywood either side of a piece of batten with a cushioned stop fixed at the bottom.
You can make it any length that fits your available kitchen area, you can even fix it to a wall or unit side if you use a couple of spacers to allow for the overhanging end of the egg.

Sassy. You certainly won't get a feathery boiled egg just from your eggs sitting on the side in your kitchen. They need to be in an incubator or under a broodie hen to start to develop at all. I keep cockerels with my hens and have never found an egg that's started to develop even a tiny bit. ;)

OL

I agree it is highly unlikely, however, it is not impossible. There is reference to this in this months Country Smallholder magazine.
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted!!
