Hi everyone and Happy Christmas! 

I bought some chestnuts to try and cooked them up but wasn't keen, would they be ok to give to my girls? I read somewhere that horse chestnuts are poisonous to chickens don't know if they are the same but don't want to make them ill  :blink:

Chestnuts will be fine for your hens - not too many at once though.

How did you cook them ?

Thanks hopefully they like them more than I did

I tried one raw then we roasted them but it did not make them taste any better, like odd tasting potatoes yuk
