Just recieved the january issue for GYO, in which its telling me to get ready to start chitting my potatoes and sowing my crops  Is it just me or does it not seem more than a few minutes since i was lifting my last lot of spuds and over veg. Ive barely had time to reflect onthe last season ::) Oh, and ive still not put my garlic in  ::) ???

If you want to be happy for a long time - fall in love.

If you want to be happy forever - take up gardening!

That's right jamie, wilkos get the seed potatoes in the week after chrimbo...........and it all starts again ;)
I'm growing onions from seed for the first time, so quite an early start for sowing as well this year.
But some people get so excited that they start sowing everything toooo early, so be careful with your enthusiasm  :D  :D

Nature waits for no one :tongue2:
It all depends what you put into the ground, to what you get out

Can't wait...so excited...! Have planned out my plot trying to make the most of my space, made a list of when to sow what, made my Christmas list of seeds...

Thought this year as I'm still eating last years veg (and still have a few oddments - parsnips, leeks, PSB in the ground) that I wouldn't be looking forward to it so much, but I really, really am! :D Roll on the new year!

As coach says, work never stops. Even though I can't actually get at the ground I've been cleaning pots and containers in the relative warmth of the greenhouse and planning what I'll be growing and where next year. This time of year is probably about as organized as I get because once the new season gets under way I seem to have no time for planning anything.

Still trying to limit myself to four new varieties of potato but it's such a difficult task. :)
