Hey
New here and i have a quick question. I love chickens and want to get 2 in a year or two,
Do you need a liscense to keep more than 1 chicken (or any chickens) in the uk?
Please help a chicken newbie here

The only licence they will need is if they want to learn to drive

if you have more than 50 then you have to register with Defra, less than that you don't

you would be better getting 3 rather than 2. If something should happen to one of your hens the other would be left on it's own whereas if you got 3 the other 2 would still have company

You might also check your house deeds and ask your local council. Some areas do have restrictions on keeping livestock in gardens.
