Welcome to the forums.

Never tried it, Wiki describes it as a small berry with low crop yield.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

It looks as though there's plenty of other references to it to allay the April Fool's joke suspicion!

Not an April fool joke, they've been advertising them for weeks on a shopping channel.

I popped in 30 of these a couple of years ago, courtesy of a friend.

It's really nothing quite like a pineapple in taste but it does have a tangy flavour to it. It actually gives a very decent yield: not significantly less than my normal strawberries. Ok, the fruit is smaller - but there is lots of it.

hi and welcome :) Dont worry they do exist,my fiancee over in ohio grew them last year and even though they  dont produce as much fruit as others (what do i know only been gardening for 3 weeks  :D-i just go on information from others) she did it to confuse the birds which worked cos she got the same return as her other ("normal plants" )so there you are --- believe!!  :D
