All to soon on the Tuesday 2nd November my little darling Pinky who has been fighting with Sour Crop has passed away.I am ashamed of myself because I don't feel I did enough for her over the night and I don't think the vet did either.......R.I.P Pinky my little hun <3 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Awww Callum dont beat yourself up over it :( you will find that chickens are usually very very ill by the time we get to notice ........

You did your best  :(
I love Pekins, Polands and Seramas :) and eggs!!!

Sorry to hear of Pinky. As Chookiechook says try not to be too hard on yourself sometimes whatever you do they just don't make it :(

My words exactly..dont beat yourself up. Pinky is now in chookie heaven, with my boy Monty and the other girls who have sadly passed this week.

As I'm sure you will be keeping hens (and ducks) for years to come Callum you can reassure yourself that these first hens are the way you will learn how to care for future birds. You will be learning every day and will get better and better. Don't be too hard on yourself. Chickens often don't present obvious problems until it's too late. :)

I am so sorry. Pinky had a happy life living with you. With chickens they don't show that they are ill untill it is to late to do anything sometimes.
