Hi there! not been on here for ages - but need help so hope someone can give me some avice.  Ive got an araucana who is limping, not badly but she' been like it for a week and not getting better.  She hates being handled but i have felt her knee is swollen and i wonder if anyone knows if arthritis can be a problem for hens? she is only about 2 years old. Can i give her any pain killers - i think i once saw on here someone giving aspirin? at first i thought she may have just hurt it jumping down off something but i think that would have got better by now? she is roosting normally at night and using it to scratch in the dirt, nay suggestions will be very welcome, thankyou

It could be inflammation from a sprain or it could be a bacterial infection in the joint. 

Both conditions would need treating by a vet.

I agree with Aunt Sally here, you need to find a local chicken-friendly vet
