What is the best time to move fruit trees. I have some in my garden that really need more space and I am planning to move to my allotment but would welcome some advice on when to move.

When you do dig them up, leave as big a rootball intact with soil as you can. This causes less stress on the plant and it will spring back in the new year envigorated.
