cockerel or not?
« on: October 16, 2010, 22:11 »
One of my Light Sussex bantams was seen having his/her way with my silkie bantam.  There has been no crowing as yet.  On the other hand my OH noticed some blood spots in an egg which could mean that it is fertile.  I have no picture as yet but will post one when I have.  I think I may already have a cockerel without realising it!
11 bantams (and counting!) 2 dogs 1 cat

blood spots in an egg do not mean that it is fertile, the spots can occur when the chicken has a shock or fright whilst it is going through the egg making process.
Staffies are softer than you think.
