So glad she's pulled though.  All credit to you for going that extra mile with her.  You are amazing.

I am truely appauled at the response you got from that vet.  They should be reported. :mad: 

My poor Nelly was put down a few days ago.  Our vets don't know much about chickens, but they still agreed to help.  We agreed to her being put to sleep.  She had a whiff of gas to put her out, then an injection to put her to sleep.  It was very quick, peaceful, and done with dignity.  Cost £16.  Not something I would wish on you of course, but that's how a vet should behave if nothing else can be done.

Hope she continues to thrive.
