Surely that's a natural thing?

'cos a lot of people still don't seem to realise how battery hens are kept, and they'd hate to enlighten them  :x

You're all so right, and the danger is that alot of people will read that article and use it to justify buying battery eggs. :x

:x  :x  :x  It's cxxxp like this that really does make me 'cluckingmad' - excuse the pun!  Can someone get this company to show photographs of the poor chucks with hardly any feathers and get them to show a more balanced view, its total and utter bxxxxxxt :!:  People need to be more aware of what really goes on in these battery farms and if it means showing the horrifying pictures of them I'm all for it.  Rant finished now, I think I'll go outside and watch my chickens to calm down.
Lost, yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset, two golden hours, each set with sixty minutes.  No reward is offered for they are gone forever. (Horace Mann)

What a load of B****cks, this is just a way of them trying to justify the disgusting way these birds are kept. They have no conscience and any one that buys battery eggs should be locked in the same conditions and then see if it's  a good way to live.

The government would have done better chanelling their energies into outlawing battery hens instead of foxhunting, but then again, money talks :x  :x

What a load of Sh*t.  We occasionally have red arrows performing above our house and my chooks totally unconcerned by sudden noise and ruddy great red hawk whooshing past overhead.

The only stress they appear to demonstrate is when racing for the treats I give them.

Its the same old argument.

I have seen a battery farmer open a cage and say

"if the chicken did not like it in the cage it would get out and escape through the open door"

I don't think chickens are the brightest of animals, but they are a lot better off living out and about.

My gran sits in her chair all day just watching day time tv, I am sure she does not suffer and has no stress in her life, but it would be so much better if she was out rummaging for worms ..... I think I lost the point somewhere
