I've got a tree in the orchard and i don't know what it is. It has got small fruit, approx 2 inch, they are shapped a bit like small pears. the skin is a red and yellow colour. Can anyone help please!

My guess is quince?

Aren't quince usually bigger than that and furry and green? Could they be medlars? A pic would help lots!
