The yellow streaky bits could be like some of my lavenders had, a sort of brassy look?

If one has feathery legs, perhaps that one is a araucanaxsilkie?  My 2 white silkies came from Cara via Joyfull, and they have similar shaped heads to your girls.  Also araucana/silkie crosses are quite popular now, is it because they make good broody Mums?  mmmm

Yes i agree, i went last year to the same one and to be fair there were some lovely birds there. Last year i went with a local breeder who new alot of the sellers, i got all of my 10 original girls there and all are great and still with me, this year i went alone, very silly, as i just dont have the experience to know what i'm doing, still, we live and learn.

My 3 black crosses I think are silkie/araucana crosses although they don't have feathery legs and yes they are great broodies  :). I find silkie eggs seem to be more pointy at one end compared to other hens and my three when they do lay have very pointy eggs every time  :).
Must admit when I go to Melton Mowbray auction I always take somebody with me so luckily I look but never buy
As for the forth name - my what a mouthfull that will be when you have to call her
Staffies are softer than you think.
