Has anyone used this bedding?

I went for my usual Hemcore and they'd sold out so came away with 2 bales of this stuff.  Was told it's Rapeseed and would be OK for chooks.  Looks lovely and comfy, very light and fluffy, but very hay like, so now not sure if it is OK for chooks.

Has anyone used it?

Never used it myself, as we use shavings generally, but it is straw, and like you said looks quite comfy!  It basically for horses and things like all the other products say medibed etc.

But looks fine!

Joyfull gave me some medibed which I used in Beefy's house, and its been good.  our houses are mainly deep litter and this stuff has been in there with Beefy and 3 girls for quite a while now.  When I cleaned it out yesterday, yes there was lots of poop, but it was all dry and in clumps and no smell whatsoever!

So I'd say at least try it!

I use NedzBedz Pro for chicks + nest. Highly recommended.

Thank you, that's reassuring, specially when I've got 2 huge bales of it!

I put it in yesterday, so I'll consult the girls later and see what they thought.  It does look and feel very cosy, was just a bit worried they might tuck into it in more ways that one!  Also there are some hollow looking stem bits that would be a cosy home for mites.  But that's just my paranoia!

The one I use is called Bliss but it's the same stuff.  I'm very impressed with it, you can get it Citronella or Eucalyptus scented, I got the Eucalyptus one and it cuts down on the smell, the rabbits have it too
