rings on tomatoes

my toms have white scar-like rings going round them, can anyone tell me what they are and the causes of it so i can avoid the same problem next time?

Can be due to rapid changes in growing conditions, temperature, watering etc..

Try to maintain a stable environment.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

scar tissue from irregular / too much watering ,

the fruit grows faster then the skin stretches

causes it to split
