hi all
      i fancy growing leeks and have been told i would need
      to dig a leek trench if thats so what does it entail :mellow:

You don't need a trench. Just make a hole in the ground with a dibber and drop in the young leek plant. The depth of the hole will determine how long a blanched stem you get on the leek. I normally make mine 4-6 inches deep depending on the size of the young plant.

But that's what you do in the summer, when they are ready for transplanting, after being sown in a bout march :)
