Hello everyone, 
will strawberry plants benifit from being cloched either during winter, or the worst just part of it, or do strawberry plants need a period of chilling?

They need a bit of cold for the flowers to form, but putting cloches on them will give an earlier crop. I’d probably leave them open to the elements until Christmas and then put the cloches on in Jan.

Mine are in containers. Should I bring them in if it gets really cold this winter or are they hardy?

They’re very hardy, the only thing they won’t tolerate is being waterlogged as the roots will rot away.
