If you want to be happy for a short time - get drunk.

If you want to be happy for a long time - fall in love.

If you want to be happy forever - take up gardening!

"Perpetual" or "everbearers" certainly should do Jamie; this is my often-mentioned single Albion plant on its second batch this year, and yes, that is a 50p not a 20p piece, and yes, it is trying to take over the world!!

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

I too have just a couple of plants still fruiting well. A lucky bargain from a stall at the side of the road at 50p each.

JayG that strawberry is huuuuge! I think it really will take over the world.

I have to say the credit is all down to the variety rather than my efforts (apart from netting it I can't think of anything I've given less attention to this year!)

Looks as if I will have at least another 20 plants from it for next year (will certainly take over my garden if not the world!)

With only one plant (albeit an extraordinarily productive one) I'm afraid you won't get past the sentry towers and barbed wire!  ;)

Next year, perhaps!  :)
