Could be sap from a euphorbia.  It can be quite nasty to some people.

Poison ivy could be a culprit.
I have never understood what is meant by 'poison ivy'. I thought it might be an American thing. Is it just plain ordinary Helix hedera or is it something else?

Although the Hedera family can irritate the skin, and the berries are poisonous, the real poison ivy plant is not the hedera family, but the rhus family

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Or possibly giant hogweed?

Even young plants can cause skin blisters on contact
