My daughters hen Freckle has started to act out of character this afternoon.  Normally she is the head of the gang but she has gradually slowed down, and now is trying to sleep on the back doorstep.  She seems fluffed up and is sitting with her bum in the air, any ideas?  They have had some brown bread this afternoon, and she might have eaten more than her fair share.  The others are fine, and occassionally visit her on the step but she doesn't walk off with them.  She's 6 months old and lays every day.  HELP!!

Panic over, she has just laid a soft egg and eaten it with the help of the others!  Will keep an eye on her as she has already laid today.

  :(She has sat down again.  We went out with food and she got up and ate a little bit, but not looking well again
