Injured leg
« on: July 30, 2010, 01:44 »
Hey, I have a bantam hen who somehow broke/dislocated her leg. We felt it and it feels normal. At first it was just a limp but now she just lays there with it laying in front of her.  Any ideas of what I should do???  Thanks!

It sounds very much like she has dislocated it, this will need manipulating and popping back into it's socket as soon as possible as damage can occur to the nerves and ligaments. Any vet (they don't need to be a poultry specialist) should be able to pop it back in.
Staffies are softer than you think.
