Hi,

I was just wondering which is the best product to us for worming, the Vem X are like pellets which seem to be easy to feed and monitor does anyone have any views which is best to use ?

Verm-X will not decrease a worm burden or kill any eggs.  It is more for prophylactic use only.

flubenvet is a chemical wormer and it will kill any worms the chickens have.

A chemical wormer is preferred, especially if the thickens are new to you, just for peace of mind that they will not have a worm burden.  it is then up to you is you want to use verm-x as a prophylactic - but i would still use a chemical wormer once a year to be on the safe side.

Flubenvet is easy to administer (put the required amount of feed in a sealable container, add 1 scoop of flubenvet and shake.  Use this feed ONLY (no treats at all during the worming period).  Just shake up each morning.  If you run out, make up another batch).

Flubenvet doesn't have a withdrawal period, so you can keep on eating the eggs, and in the long run is less expensive than verm-x.
