Just bought from a summer fair a fig tree for 50pence.,...wow

Any idea on planting etc. I was going to palt it againt the back og the house which is south west facing..?

I've never grown a fig tree so probably a bit of my league.  I do recall reading that you need to line the planting hole with slabs - this restricts root growth and apparently encourages fruit production otherwise you'll get none
