Potting up strawberry plant runners
« on: July 19, 2010, 16:03 »
Hi all,

Out of interest, what size of pot would people most recommend for potting up runners for planting out later in the year.  I have lots of 3 inch pots but I'm worried that they might be too small and would result in the plants becoming pot bound before I have chance to plant them out.  If needs be I'll have to try and source some bigger pots but thought I'd ask first!

3" is what I use.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

To me it depends on how big the runners have got and what sizes of pot you have. 3" is fine unless you have some bigger runners - then use a bigger pot.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
