Good evening Joyce and welcome to the site. The flower problem is down to 1 of 2 things, lack of water or lack of pollination. :D

Feel free to pop back into the Welcome forum to introduce yourself  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Hello and Welcome ! Its still early for Runner Beans ,depending what part of the country you live .I am in the Midlands and have nt got any beans setting yet.But I know from experience that patience is required and then all of a sudden there will be plenty.
Some people mist the flowers with water and say this helps the beans to set.The recent strong wind can blow the flowers off before they have pollinated and birds and some bees even can be the cause, but the Runner Bean will prevail and you will have beans eventually.

Similat thread on here the other day. There are bees earlier on that go in throught the back of the flowers so no beans but it's the later ones that will pollinate and give you beans.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
