purple gooseberries?
« on: July 16, 2010, 20:04 »
When I took over the plot, last year, they were 3 gooseberry bushes as I have not had them before I assumed they would be green.  Now I have noticed that eventually they have fruit, very small, that is purple in colour.  Are these a variety or have I done something to them?
Time waits for no man and I can't wait for growth.

They're a different variety.  I inherited two with my allotment and they are delicious.

Anything like these? Whinhams Industry - beautifully sweet when fully ripe.

If they are small, they could be Jostaberries.
