We had a brake in at the Green Patch all the hens were let out one disappeared and another was found dead hanging in a tree.

I'm so angry one of the ladies who looks after them went home and cried.

Thats terrible.  You guys do a smashing job there and some scumbags just like to destroy any attempt at bringing the community together

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's so hurtful when something like that happens. It's so much worse with live animals that you've nurtured. Don't give up the good work.

Ack, thats just plain nasty. What goes around comes around though. I'm thinking Billie Holliday's song "Strange Fruit"........if only you could string the blighters up as pennance.
