Just assembled my first ever compost bin and was wondering if l can put cow manure in it as i have cows in the field next to my house?

Depends what the farmer thinks about it, no problem for the compost.

I compost just animal manures and they rot down well in the plastic bins. I don't add other stuff though so I know it's just going to be manure and nothing else.  I have a bin just for kitchen stuff, which I like as it's weed free

Just check first that no herbicide has been used on the grass.  certain ones will harm veggies.
