Calabrese woes...
« on: July 07, 2010, 23:57 »
I grow my brassicas successionally and recently planted out my second sowings. As you can see from the photos, my cabbages and caulis are just fine, but my calabrese are clearly not in a happy state. I forked in a little exhibition cabbage and cauliflower feed prior to planting them all out.

Can anyone help me out here?

Looks like sun scorch. This can happen if the plants have been grown sheltered and then put into bright sunlight. It can also happen if the leaves are watered in bright sunlight.

The inner leaves look ok so they will be fine with a little TLC, the ground looks realy dry and cracked, maybe give them a good drink.

Thanks for your thoughts. I can see why it might seem the ground is dry, but I can assure you it is anything but...  :)
