The papery leaves (I take it they are papery) can be indicative of sun scald. Is your greenhouse shaded?

The cuke is on the patio - against a east facing wall, it doesn't get a lot of sun but has had some.

Re the courgette, did it suffer, I mean was it tended to in the greenhouse before being abandoned outside?

Nope I read it the last rights and injected some sodium thiopental.   ::)

Grown in situ, the first lot I started in modules died a long time ago. The second sowing are below, sown on the patio away from the greenhouse & the other plants.

I've never had a year where everything has refused to grow - Im begging to wonder if its bacterial or viral.

Gosh BeetrootQueen I had no idea they were supposed to be green     :D

The courgette has a 0% chance of living - its going in the compost tomorrow and Im putting some leeks there.

It's just the blankety blank weather we're having. It's still dipping below 10C outside on some nights :(
In the garden things are just about growing, as it is a bit more sheltered, but up the  allotment the cold and wind is making everything curl up their toes :(

That looks strangely familiar Lardman!

Here's my best, and also only remaining outdoor cucumber plant (at least yours was standing up; mine hasn't got the strength!!!)

(Could we start a "most pathetic cucumber" competition??)

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Am I allowed to show off? I don't do it much and I know others already are picking theirs so it's not really much of an achievement....but these are my cukes - so far all still alive!!! They are planted in a variety of locations:

Crystal Lemon in trellis trough:

Melonie in the greenhouse not really doing anything except attacking a defenceless Pepper:

Burpless tasty green in hanging baskets:

Marketmore in a pot and growing up against trellis:

All my cukes died (I think this may be sabotage as my husband hates them?1?  )

and one of my courgette plants is having trouble, but in my naivety i have planted about 8 courgettes which are doing well :) (not realising they are such prolific producers!!)

Courgette anyone?
Roz is my nickname...please don't hate me because I'm named after a slug :)
