Hens stop laying
« on: June 18, 2010, 14:07 »
We have kept hens for laying for many years. They have a huge field,a good henhouse, plenty of good food (including oats, corn, wheat and pellets for laying hens). We acquired 12 new hens in April, and they are now six months old. they laid really well for about three weeks, then stopped. We have done all the usual things and discounted them - laying elsewhere, eating the eggs, etc.. Please can someone offer advice?

Hi Lorna; I'll move this thread to the "Hen House" where it is more likely to be seen and replied to.

Feel free to introduce yourself in the "Welcome" part of the forum; actual questions are best posted in the relevant section.

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!
