That's a bit like a 'how long is a piece of string' question unfortunately. Rats can have large litters so it really depends on how old the babies were in the nest or if they had already had other babies who had gone on to have babies... Or if these are unrelated rats coming into your garden from a wider area.

So basically, really hard to tell.

The rat trap has been empty for 2 nights and I haven't seen any evidence of rats so maybe that is it for now.
