Well if you want chicks Ma, you will need a brooder heat lamp and food and water vessels, i think we have all got different ideas for brooders, i have an old filing cabinet laid on its back for mine, its nice and deep and draught free for the babies, but i know that some on here use the big plastic square tubs, with the heat lamp over the top.
As for eggs well all the above, plus either a broody hen or and incubator.
Dont count ya chickens till they hatch!!!!!

Did you say you had a broody hen in another thread?  if so its soooo much easier allowing her to do it than having to buy all the stuff in .All you need for a broody is a small cosy rabbit type hutch , some chick crumb and a couple of small feeders/drinkers for when chicks hatch. She will keep them warm and look after them til they are 7 weeks or more. All you will have to do is clean out regularly once hatched and sit and watch  ....alot

Can the other half be chocolate please?   :D :D

As to when?  if you are bringing cake as soon as possible please!  But arrange with Joy and I'll fit in around that, but if its in the next week or two, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, we are culling and plucking,  so either afternoons or Tuesday or Thursday all day!!!  :D
