I am growing Calypso strawberry's in a hanging basket which look healthy other than the fact that some are misshapen in a knotted kind of way.

is this serious or just one of those things ?

they'll still taste good, so don't worry about them

They'll taste fine if a bit seedier. It's usually caused by a nip of frost on the flowers or irregular watering.
