Garlic - new leaves
« on: June 01, 2010, 07:15 »
I have some garlic left on my plot from the previous owners, I dug one up about a month ago and no bulb had formed so I have left in. Over the last week lots of more thin leaves have started growing, does this mean they are now no good?

You might find it goes to seed quite quickly and I doubt if a bulb will form....they need cold to divide into cloves.
Plus side....you can eat the leaves and flowers. Garlic chives!!!
