Turnips destroyed
« on: May 30, 2010, 20:45 »
I decided to pull a couple of turnips for a salad y'day as they're looking quite large! Unfortunately on pulling them up found that they had been ravaged. The inner turnip was ok just the outer edge looked like little tunnels. The only evidence was hundreds of little white bugs crawling over it, I'm puzzled as to what they are,the best i could describe is minature termites. I pulled the rest up and they're the same, completely ruined. >:( Does anyone have any idea as to what these critters are and how to deal with 'em??
