Ok my White chuck is laying regular now but very small eggs my bluebell has just started yesterday bless her  how long can I expect to be getting farty little token eggs that look like quail eggs for before I get a decent size egg? I don't want to buy eggs now they are laying but I will need about 6 on two rounds of toast ha ha

They usually increase in size quite quickly.  However pullet eggs (i.e. less than 1 yr old hens) will always lay smaller eggs than a hen.

To put it another way, the eggs are usually largest during their 2nd plus years of laying.

Our ´new meat´ girls have started to lay- one hen lays round eggs, like a ping pong ball   The eggs are gradually getting bigger though.  Compared to the size of the girls (HUGE)  I expect giant eggs once they get into the swing of laying.  You should see one hen, she was trying to make room for herself in the nesting box- another hen was already in there, her bum was hanging over the edge!
