When my broody jumped off her nest this morning I swear I heard one of her eggs cheap! :blink: They're due to hatch on Friday. Perhaps I'm seriously over optimistic about the forthcoming event?

Nope, that's about right. They internally pip into the airsac about 3 days before their eventual hatch and from that point on they can breathe air and therefore cheep.
