.... is this disease, drought, drowning, frost, too acid, not enough food, pests or normal?

The newest leaves on the tops of my outdoor yellow tomatoes are coming thru curly and gradually flattening out.  Is there something I should be doing to prevent this?  What is it?  Why does it take so long to learn about things and such a short time for things to go wrong???

Plenty of tomato experts on here but sadly I am not one of them.

It's been pretty cool recently so might be that - at least you've got growth which does come good eventually.

Leaf roll can simply be due to a wide variation in day/night temperature. If there's no nasties on the leaf, there is no need to worry.

This has happened to my greenhouse toms this year.  

At first I thought they had a virus.  I removed some of the leaf to make it straighter (if that makes sense to you).  But when the weather got cooler the new foliage grew normally.  So more shading I think is what is needed for curly leaves
