My step-daughter says 'don't have ducks - they smell really bad'.  I guess she knows somewhere where they weren't looked after well enough?

True but that is probably why all my veg grows so well (providing the ducks don't get in and eat it)! They also saved me a fortune in potting compost this year as their mucky bedding composts down so brilliantly. They also mow the lawn for me and eat any slugs and snail!  I don't know how anyone manages to garden without ducks!!! ;)
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
